Message from Yvette Pagano

Where did the 1st half of the year go?  It is hard to believe we are already a few weeks into Q3.  I am happy to report another strong quarter for CAR Engineering.  Sales increased 14% from Q2 of 2011.  We have been able to increase capacity by adding some skilled machinists to our night shift.  Despite this increase in sales we have maintained an on-time delivery of 95% shop wide.  We would love an excuse to buy a new machine and keep hiring new workers, so please keep those purchase orders coming!  Thanks as always to our customers, vendor partners, and talented staff for your critical role in the companies’ success.

Increased Capacity/Efficiency

CAR recently purchased a gently used, Littell uncoiler for our punch press department.  This robust piece of equipment is rated for coil stock weighing up to 2,500 lbs, 18″ wide, and 60″ in diameter. Our current uncoilers are only rated for coil stock up to 1,000 lbs and 48″ in diameter. With the added capacity this uncoiler offers, we will be able to purchase larger coils for our higher volume production jobs, resulting in longer runs and more parts between coil changes.

Excited stampings employees Roger and Bouncy can’t wait to set up their new piece of equipment.

It’s a BOY!

Loyal newsletter readers know when someone is expecting a baby at CAR the smart money says it’s a girl.  We have had six baby girls born to CAR employees in the last two years and zero boys.  Well the streak is over as VP of Operations Brian Rumsey and wife Gia welcomed their second child, baby boy Gio.

Gio Louis Rumsey was born on May 25th, 2012 at Unity Hospital.  Gio weighted a healthy 9lbs 3oz and was 22 inches long.  Gio joins big sister Gemma (18 months) and dog Brutus as the newest member of the Rumsey clan.  Welcome to the world Gio!

Jerame Weirich Gets Hitched

CAR sends its warmest congratulations to Jerame Weirich on his recent marriage.  Jerame tied the knot on June 2nd   to his girlfriend Elizabeth (Beth) Bringenberg.  The wedding took place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holley NY with a reception following at Plantation Party House in Spencerport, NY.  Jerame is a set-up man in our stampings department and his animal loving wife works at Lake Immunogenics Inc.

Her father, Thomas Bringenberg, escorted the bride down the aisle.  Close friend Mike Stamp served as best man and sister of the bride Christine Bringenberg was the maid of honor.  The couple honeymooned in Playa Del Carmen Mexico.  Jerame and Beth reside in Marion, NY with their dog and various small animals.  Happy trails Jerame and Beth!
